Website - Design overview

Catalogues is a download section of documentation. It is up to each country to publish a limited number of brochures, or to upload the complete documentation, including installation manuals.

A new subsection was recently introduced to enable installers to insert their logos in End User Leaflets of 2 pages. A screenshot of the new tool, its corresponding form and a simulated result is enclosed in the screenshots below.

 

 

Hereunder is an example of Etherea 2013 leaflet with customized, embedded logo. Installer is given the possibility to upload his logo and to update his contact details before creating his leaflet.

                         

Admin Area - Setup

In Content Management -> Catalogues, you can manage all catalogues available for download published in Panasonic PRO Club, and their individual properties.

 

Default vs Custom Catalogues

Default catalogues in english are usually uploaded at the launch of every new annual campaign. Default catalogues can easily be differentiated from the ones uploaded within your country through the caption “default content”.

They are provided to make sure some content is available in case no documentation would be ready in your own language(s).

As soon as brochures are available in your language, we recommend that you proceed to update default catalogues, and publish brochures in your language. This can be done in 2 different ways:

•   : Enter the detailed record of the catalogue, translate the title to your language, and modify the linked PDF file (as soon as you modify a catalogue, its status automatically changes from “default content” to “custom content” exclusively for your country.)

•   : Create a new catalogue from the start with the button “New Catalogue”

 

PDF Catalogues

3 catalogue categories are available to better segment the contents available by user profile. It is up to you to activate/deactivate each one of the 3 categories for every individual user profile in Admin -> User Access.

However, below is our recommendation in order not to disclose sensitive documentation:

• Professional (wholesalers, installers, shops, architects-engineers)
• End User Leaflets (all profiles)
• Installation Manuals (installers, wholesalers, service)

These are the fields to configure in order to publish a catalogue:

Title: File name displayed in the frontend

Catalogue: opens File Explorer. Select an existing file or upload a new one onto your online library. (to learn how to make the best use of the File Explorer, click here)

Content type: Select between Professional / Leaflets for End Users / Installation Manuals

Line-up: Select the appropriate product-range. If you tick the checkbox "visible in aircon website", files will be gathered by categories in the aircon website.

Year: Please assign a year to your catalogue. Files are automatically classified and displayed by year in the website.

Position: not mandatory field. If you assign a position to your catalogue, you are able to change the order setup by default "from newest to oldest". It is not necesary to follow a correlative sequence of numbers. Simply keep in mind that smaller values will be displayed before catalogues with higher values.

Visible in leaflet with logo? tick for 2pages end-user leaflets only. (Compatible with PDF Adobe Acrobat 1.4 only)

Visible in aircon website? If you want this catalogue to be displayed in aircon website also, tick this checkbox.

Activated: yes/no (Do not forget to disable catalogues that become outdated with the arrival of new product range for instance) 

 

End User Leaflets with your logo

Please keep in mind that it should be enabled for the profile Installer only (possibly also Shop depending on your market).

The checkbox “visible in leaflet with logo” should be activated for End User leaflets of 2pages only (dyptich). The tool is designed to insert the logo always at the same page of the PDF. If you activate the option for a catalogue with more pages, the logo will be inserted in the middle of inside pages, and the web experience could result some kind of “frustrating” for the users.
